Michel Bouvet

Michel Bouvet became Yncréa general manager in 2016. He earned his engineering degree at the École Polytechnique in 1981 and a Ph.D in engineering from Paris-Saclay University in 1987. Mr. Bouvet served under various position in France defense department. Most notably, he was Head of the SHOM Oceanographic Military Center, Deputy Director of the Delegation for Strategic Affairs (DAS), Director of the VBCI program (DGA) and training manager at CHEAr. Before joining Yncrea, Mr Bouvet served in various executive or general management positions in the field of public research. Other important functions include director of the development strategy and external relations of the IRSN, head of the department of guardianship of research organizations within the DGRI, Deputy Director General of the IRD, in charge of AIRD. Michel Bouvet also served as a board member for various research organizations (IRD, MNHN, CNES, …). He founded ESR Conseil, a consulting firm accompanying public and private actors in higher education, research and innovation.

His honors include the titles of General Engineer of the Armament (CR), officer of the National Order of Merit, Knight of the Legion of Honor and Knight of the Agricultural Merit.
